Herbert Bowyer Berkeley (26 March 1851 - 26 May 1890) was born at Cotheridge Court, Cotheridge[1], Worcestershire, England. Fourth son of The Reverend William Comyns Berkeley and Harriet Elizabeth Bowyer Nichols Berkeley. Berkeley was schooled at Uppingham School[2]. He was a photographer as well as a chemical engineer. He was also a member of the Royal Photographic Society and exhibited work from 1874 until 1889.
